In no particular order, browse a few of the links below to get a feel of what's going on in the Taranaki/ New plymouth area.

The local council website is a good place to start.

The festival of lights is a great example of how to use public areas.

The Taranaki Rhododendron and Garden Festival is now hosted by the Taranaki Arts Festival Trust.  These guys know what they are doing and host some of the regions premiar events throughout the year.

The WOMAD festival is another good example but aimed a a different crowd.

Where would NZ be without Rugby?  This year Taranaki host 3 games of the Rugby World Cup.

The Taranaki venture website is about as flash as you'll find. (pun intended). Don't go there if your on dial-up.

The Windwand site has a lot of good info but the design of the actual site itself always makes me want to leave.
